Full head highlights are our classic route to bright, dimensional hair. For medium length and shoulder length styles, foils are woven through every section of the head so the colour looks even and blended whether your hair is up, down or tucked behind your ears.
Full head highlights in Tilbury: what to expect
- Consultation. We talk tone (golden, beige, ash or icy), thickness of highlight and how much contrast you like.
- Sectioning and foiling. Your colourist works methodically from nape to crown for even coverage.
- Processing. Lightener develops while we keep an eye on lift and condition.
- Toning. A gloss or toner perfects the shade and adds shine.
- Finish. A blow dry so you see the full result before you leave.
The shoulder length sweet spot
At this length, highlights catch the light beautifully as hair moves. They also blend greys throughout, so regrowth looks softer and you can go longer between appointments.

If your brightness is mainly needed on top, half head highlights may be all you need. Prefer a softer, hand-painted look? Ask about balayage.

Second time visiting today and every time I’m greeted by friendly faces and they all make you feel so comfortable! The salon has such a lovely vibe. Tillie cut my hair last year and I loved it! I’ve been back today for a complete change of colour after not dying my hair in so long I was nervous but the results were amazing. Tillie listened to everything I wanted and took the time to go through everything with me. I love my hair and can’t thank Tillie enough! I’ll be back soon! Thank you x

Such a positive experience! Really friendly staff. Tillie was a brilliant stylist. She was really friendly with my children, helping to make them feel comfortable.
